Conferences at the Centre

Poringland Community Centre with its modern, accessible to all, flexible and spacious design creating an excellent atmosphere for conferences up to 200 delegates.

Our venue also offers a fully equipped commercial kitchen, bistro area and a bar facility.
We offer three conferencing options to cater for your needs:


Option 1: Single Quadrant.

For this option you have one quarter of our main space, separate and private from the other quadrants. The quadrant provides you with use of the overhead projection system and 3m electric drop-down screen, the room has electrically operated blinds and full air conditioning. This space is usable by yourself or our Sound and Lighting Engineer can be hired to work with you if booked in advance. This option seats up to 50 delegates.



Option 2: Two Quadrants.

For this option you have one half of our main space, 'separate and private from the other quadrants. Again providing you with use of the overhead projection system and 3m electric drop-down screen, electrically operated blinds and full air conditioning. This space is usable by yourself or our Sound and Lighting Engineer can be hired to work with you if booked in advance. This option seats up to 100 delegates.


Option 3: Full Hall.

For this option you have whole of our main space. Providing you with use of the larger overhead projection system and 4m electric drop-down screen, electrically operated blinds and full air conditioning. This space is only available with our Sound and Lighting Engineer. This option seats up to 200 delegates.



Our fully-qualified Engineer can handle all of your technical requirements and his hire rate includes provision of any extra projection, lighting, sound equipment you would normally need inclusively in his charges. Our Charges

Hire charges for Commercial Events, Conferences and Courses
Hire Deposit 25% of total cost plus
Damage Deposit (returnable) on full pre-payment - £300.00

£150 - Morning hire
£150 - Afternoon hire
£150 - Evening hire
£20 - Full kitchen use
or £40.00 per hour
£50 - Cleaning Service Charge(optional)
£17:00 per hour for provision of Engineer(optional for options 1 and 2).
